Dahshur and Memphis

Dahshur is a necropolis of the Old Kingdom with some of the oldest pyramids. The Bent and Red pyramids were built by and for the 4th dynasty pharoah, Sneferu, around 2600 BC.

There's not much left of ancient Memphis, founded in 3100 BC as Egypt's first capital, but there is an open-air museum with most of a huge statue of Ramses II.
