Did you reach a final conclusion on the identity of the prey of this Merlin? I am not completely satisfied with all the possibilities posted on Texbirds, including my own. In the photo listed as Merlin taking ?, is that white on the upper surface of the tail, with a dark terminal band, or are we looking at some other part of the bird? I would appreciate any comments that you have. Thanks.
