Early Fall Migrants

For about 3 hours the birds were really busy in our shrubs and in our yard stream. I counted 26 species from my family room window. There were six warbler species including 2 Bay-breasted, 6 Tennessees, 2 Blackburnians, 2 Chestnut-sided, 1 Yellow-throated Warbler and a Northern Parula. Also foraging were 15 Cedar Waxwings, 2 Yellow-throated Vireos a Red-eyed Vireo, 2 Indigo Buntings, 2 Brown Thrashers, 3 Eastern Towhees, a Scarlet Tanager, an Eastern Wood Pewee, an Eastern Phoebe and an unknown Empid.
