Angel's Gate
My grandmother used to call this view of the Olympic Mountains in Washington state, Angel's Gate, and so it is for us. Don't know if it is known to others as that.

backhoe
We live in a two acre lot subdivision and after 30 years are finally getting city water. This machine was parked at the end of our short street and I couldn't help but admire it.

Bud and the kong
This is Buddy one of the many dogs we have had. His favorite toy is the kong and if people ask me what color he is I say the color of dead grass.

What a Tom Boy I used to be and in my younger years this tree wouldn't have had a chance.

Lisa Profile
One of our few lawnmowers. We sectioned off a couple of acres a few years ago and added two sheep. This one is Lisa who got her name because the other sheep was already called Mona.

Mona says Hi
It is as hard to photo a friendly sheep as it is a house pet. They keep walking towards you.

Easter Lily Buzzed
One of the millions of lilies in our local churchyard. When they are in bloom around the headstones you can only walk on a narrow path for frear of crushing them. It is a sight to see.

cliffside
This is my fiend Jo who got me back into taking pictures. One time she and I went to this old barn and we took many pictures. I had to revisit the place as it turned out I had no film in my camera. Hence the digital. Love her for her keen interests in life and help with mine.

Under the tree we three
I was passing a field with sheep but found it unusual to see only the adult ewes out in the field. Under the oak trees were all the spring lambs. It was bitterly cold as you can see from the trees out in the open in the background which were covered with a white frost. It was snowing ever so slightly. Somehow the ewes got the lambs to stay sheltered under these leafless trees and occasionally a mum would come back and feet a young one.

Who knew I'd be doing this again over this camera?
Today my only digital camera broke a Canon S3 Is and so I am in a dilemma whether to fix it or get another. The lens was jerky when extending when I turn it on and now it won't fully extend. Much thinking to do here. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
I love the idea of the Canon G10 with the auto focus tracking of moving objects. That seemed to be one thing that I was missing in my camera. Too many blurry shots unless I was well prepared in advance before taking the picture.
I absolutely love the 12 times zoom. Even more would be better.
The swivel monitor seemed to be the best thing for me since sliced bread. Bad knees. ;-) I could access shots I would normally not try for.
I am not stuck on a Canon. My first digital was a Nikon Cool Pix 950
I also think Sony may be a good make but from I'm not sure where to go.
I see my camera was only 2 years and two months old.
Many thanks for any help.
