Endemic to South Africa, the Blue Crane is South Africa's national Bird.
The Crowned Crane, is a close cousin to the Blue Crane and is known as "Mahem"
in Afrikaans.
Cranes mate for life, and are known for their very sensual mating rituals and
dances. I was lucky to see this Crowned Crane, he was a true beauty.
