Last weekend the local Amish community held an auction and sale, which raises money for a local one-room school. This event has been growing steadily year-by-year and now attacks thousands of visitors. I’ve been attending for many years and always look forward to it with great anticipation, and as usual I wasn’t disappointed. The rainy weather that was predicted held out for most of the day and all but the late afternoon portion of the event was high and dry. As you can see by this photo the Amish children were their charming playful selves. I saw many old friends there. It was a day full of wonderful photo ops, great food and lots of fun.
