I haven’t been able to get out and take photos lately, because of the illness of my father-in-law. I’ve spent days at the hospital, or driving my mother-in-law back and forth from our home to the hospital. I’m glad to report he is improving a little each day. So today I thought I’d head out into the country for a little while to get my head screwed back on and get some country comfort. I decided to go to a farm I had visited a few weeks back and search for the white, “Tennessee Walking” horse I had photographed earlier. I thought that that particular horse was one of the most striking horses I’ve encountered and I was drawn to go back and try to shoot a few more photos of her. I received permission to go into the barn and the pasture. I found her in the barn standing and asleep. I took this image and a few more before she awoke. I find horses truly amazing captivating creatures. They are so beautiful, and in her case stunning, unusual and strikingly magnificent.
