Girl Power! (Note the sash around her neck)
I was in Hershey Pennsylvania today to take my wife for an appointment. I was left waiting while she was in her appointment. (No surprise,) so I drove around with my camera hoping to take a few pictures while I waited. I was stopped in traffic while school kids were helped to cross the street and noticed this striking woman directing traffic and directing the school kids. She waved me on, but she looked so darn interesting that I went around the block and parked. I waited a while for the traffic and kids to thin out and then approached her. I told her that I enjoy taking people pictures, and asked if she would mind if I snapped a few. No problem. She is amazing! She told me she is 88 years old and has been a crossing guard for 22 years. She just knocked me out, wow! What a classy lady. You should see this woman handle the traffic, and the marvelous way she spoke to all the kids with kindness and love. She was just amazing. There are so many fabulous people in this word if we just take the time to look a little. Thanks Margaret!
