Westminster Abbey interior

Although photos were forbidden inside the Abbey, I spotted a glass door as we were leaving and took a quick shot through the glass. The red-framed tomb on the floor is the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior from World War I, and in special honor to all those who lost their lives, it is the only tomb in the Abbey where people are not permitted to walk. It is lined with red poppies in remembrance of the red poppies that sprang up in the fields where so many died. The main altar (the transept) is behind the gold tryptich screen, and behind that is the coronation chair from Wales, which has been used in the coronation of all English monarchs since around the 13th century.
