Snow on the shoulder of the road where they scraped the highway over the weekend. Last week this area was under 8-12 inches of snow. When it snows they close the Richard B. Russell Scenic Highway because it is so steep and has very bad curves. If you want to take this same picture with snow on the road you will have to walk about 5 miles to get to this point.
