This cemetery was originally created by the German Army. Unlike other Commonwealth War Graves Commission Cemeteries, the bodies of the Canadian Soldiers lying here are place head-to-head. Visiting a some of the World War I and World War II cemetaries was very moving. It was interesting to note that in the registers here and elsewhere, the cemeteries were visited regularly by people from around the world.
