My only involvement with this sport is as a spectator, I am there to watch and encourage my son. But what a fantastic sport to photograph; long lens shots of these colorful boats in action, and also lots of detail to capture with standard and wide-angle equipment.

I have yet to take the definitive shot that perfectly captures this colourful and exhilarating sport - but isn't this constant challenge one of the most enjoyable and rewarding aspects of photography?
