I love this floppy ear phase. Those ears are thinking hard about standing up, but they keep falling asleep on the job.
This is a particularly nice composition. Charlie's right on the vertical third line, a perfect place for a classic shot. The way the two walls stretch out behind him in a right angle heighten the emphasis on Charlie. The way his forepaws stretch nearly all the way to the bottom of the frame is just perfect, and helps us appreciate Charlies' wonderful enormous feet. Add the warmth of the seasoned blond wood and the rich rusty tiles, and you have the perfect setting. He fits into this photo like a diamond solitaire in an engagement ring. Beautiful.
