Daylight Fill flash on black dog. Set to AV, 400 ISO to get 5.6 aperture and the shutter speed was 160 or 200 on a 50mm lens. I picked green grass as it same as 50% grey. Next, I changed the camera exposure compensation to -1/3 stop. next I changed the flash to FP High and set the flash exposure compensation +2/3 stop. I wanted to keep the evaluative exposure dark and the camera was going to try to lighten it a bit which I did not want because I was also going to lighten the dog by 90 degree direct flash at +2/3 blast. In this image the black bushes of the hillside are backed by sunlight and she has her photo taken oblique. Same with other sit/down/stand images.
