This is an awesome lens. I have a gallery of photos I've taken with it. The 1.4 does have a few other things going for it including better sharpness and bokeh, I plan to get one in the next few months.

Gary, so far just a few test shots, but I like what I see. That's a fourth of a price of 1.4 lens. Might be plastic, but I can always replace it... and for my use, there's not a whole lot of value add for an extra .4 in focal length. At least not for ~$250 extra;~) Marek
