We hesitated before making up our mind and getting to visit the castle inside.
Even though the work of restoration had surely to be admirable, we felt confusedly that the nature of the castle had changed forever.
The shadows of Anne and the other Dukes of Brittany would not have felt comfortable in a museum; they would have wished to find their familiar environment, where they were actors of their own daily life, not object of observation.
