When I graduated at University, someone, quite formally
(So formally that I cannot remember who was)
gave me as present these crystal bottles.
Beautiful objects, but not exactly my style, I have never been so elegant and refined.
So, as I always do, when there is something I don’t feel like throwing away, but I don’t want to carry with me,
I left them at my parents’ home.
In a way they are much better there.
And I feel nearly a little funny complicity with the bottles, when I see them again,
Perfectly at their ease, in my parent’s living room.
