On the roof of my cave the rain has been ticking loudly for hours. I love this sound. I love the shining wet tiles. I love the droplets on the windows. I love the fact that temperature dropped radically.
I’m delightfully selfish and I don’t feel any special sympathy for the fanatics of suntan, who whine miserably under their umbrellas.
In my troglodytic cave I can even keep the window closed and I have heaps of books and soft cushions on my sofa and a good stock of coffee and delicious biscuits in my cupboard and last but not least I have the wise and patient one, who, besides sharing his life with me, can make coffee wonderfully.
Real books, real coffee, real home-made biscuits…something concrete to makes me feel a little more at ease in the virtual cloud…
