Ah…and the Cathedral, of course!

Quimper - Bretagne (France)

The enormous Cathédrale St-Corentin is the focal point of Quimper.
It’s considered the most complete Gothic cathedral in Brittany.

When the nave was being added to the old chancel in the fifteenth century, the extension would either have hit existing buildings or the swampy edge of the then-unchannelled river.
The masons eventually found a solution and placed the nave at a slight angle – a peculiarity which, once noticed, makes it hard to concentrate on the other Gothic splendours within.

Fabulous Gothic style. Powerful and spectacular details to be admired, my friend.

Stunning and very imposing view! The processing and scary sky give it a very medieval look. ~BV~
