I'm a long-time photographer with decades of experience, especially in the landscape and travel genres, and I've done a number of exhibitions, both in the UK (where I have been based since 2012), and in Spain (where I lived for a few years, previously).
More recently, I've branched out and started shooting in the portrait and editorial styles too.
I started my journey into photography with 35mm film SLRs loaded with (mostly Fujichrome, at the time) slide film. Then I started using digital cameras in the mid 2000s... and now I've mostly gone back to shooting film again, but in medium format.
But most importantly, regardless of the medium used, I always enjoy working 'the old fashioned way', perfecting the framing, and then waiting for that fleeting moment when the light and the conditions are perfect. No "spray and prey" for me ;-)
Finally, I've never shot commercially, preferring instead to keep photography a strictly independent, personal activity, as I cherish the artistic liberty and lack of pressure that this affords me.
