Silphium compositum

Common Name: Kidneyleaf Rosinweed, Kidney-leaf Rosinweed

USDA lists four varieties but ITIS has combined them all with no listed varieties.

Note large, kidney shaped, deeply lobed basal leaves with single flower stalk (scape) to 3 m tall with large number of yellow flowers on top of 4-8 yellow ray petals. Very distinctive.
