Potentilla glaucophylla

Common Names: Varileaf Cinquefoil, Different-leaved Cinquefoil, Mountain Meadow Cinquefoil

H&C lists 3 varieties of which only two are still recognized.
var. diversifolia: Leaves primarily digitate, upper half leaf is cut, common variety throughout range.
var. multisecta: no longer recognized. (Lvs coarsely strigose, grayish). Found ID-MT.
var. perdissecta: Leaves sericeous to glabrate, greenish, divided along whole leave.

ITIS (generally most up to date) gives two varieties:
var. glaucophylla: Common variety. Note palmate leaves
var. perdissecta: (Mountainmeadow Cinquefoil). Note pinnate leaves.
