Perideridia gairdneri

Common Names: Common Yampah, Indian Caraway, Gairdner's Yampah

USDA and ITIS lists two subspecies of which only ssp. borealis is found in WA.
ssp. borealis: found in west NA. 2-3 tuberous roots, 5-7 veined petals (too small to see). coast to alpine.
ssp. gairdneri: found only in CA. 1 tuberous root, a 1 veined petal. low elevation.

Note, the basal leaves disappear at flowering. Double compound umbel.
