Monotropa hypopithys

Common Names: Pinesap, Dutchman's Pipe, Yellow Bird's-nest

Note erect pale yellowish white to reddish-tinged inflorescence (not a true stem) with many tubular shaped flowers in tight cluster at top all in one direction. A myco-heterotroph which grows in deep shade paratising fungi which in turn is growing on nearby trees/rotting wood.
