Ipomopsis aggregata

Common Names: Scarlet Gilia, Scarlet Trumpet, Skyrocket

USDA lists 7 subspecies of which two are found in WA state: H&C lists two varieties:
ssp. aggregata: Common phase, with mostly bright red corolla
ssp. formosissima: Uncommon from Rocky Mtns. with mostly white to yellowish corolla.

Note large bright red corolla with speckling (yellow) inside. Mostly basal pinnated leaves which get smaller as it goes up the flower stem.
