Looking 0,25 miles back to The Clearing, a picnic area of the Augusta Canal.
Part of the Fall Line, a rocky line from GA through SC which delineates the Piedmont (clay soils) from the Low-country (sandy soils). Most likely a remnant of an old sea level.
