House of La Boétie the immortal friend of the great French essayist, Michael de Montaigne

built around 1525 in an Italian Renaissance style and in 1530 it
saw the birth of Etienne de la Boetie, a writer who also played
a role in peace negotiations during the religion wars raging in this period.
This beautiful house has been renovated in 1910
