Common Name: Virgina Strawberry, Wild Strawberry, and Common Strawberry

USDA lists 4 varieties of which only 2 are found in WA
ssp. glauca: Found in 3 e. WA counties (Okanogan, Pend Oreille, Garfield)
ssp. grayana: Found mainly in mid-west
ssp. platypetala: Found on west coast
ssp. virginiana: Found mid-west to east coast.

Is one of two species of strawberry that were hybridized to create the modern domesticated Garden Strawberry. Its natural range is confined to North America, in the United States (including Alaska) and Canada. (from Wiki)
