Epilobium clavatum

Common Names: Talus Willowherb, Clavatefruit Willowherb

This genus self-pollinates and has many hybrids. From T&G, E. oregonese, E. clavatum, E. lactiflorum and E. anagallidifolium are very difficult to distinguish and considered by some to be phases of the same species.

Note opposite, semi-glossy purplish-green, lanced-shaped sessile leaves with slight teeth and purplish (sometimes white) notched petals on red stems sticky up well beyond the leaves.
