thank you so much for your kind comments... the original image of the island with sea smoke... clicked 10,200 times... and actually i just had someone print it for me at 16x20 with a new epson.... i own no printer... for the little show i just stared setting up and am excited about in a tiny but lovely Portland Diner... and today my daughter Carolyn will come from mass and we will eat there and she can see my work hanging... about 9 shots so far including the image of POrtland light house tha i took yestday am and ha dprinted large as well that was my pad yesterday... it was my son Rob who last year encouraged me to try to get my work out in a gallery... i am grateful to him...
i hope you show your work because it is the most artistic human and gloreous of all the images i see!
my profile image today i also printed yesterday and the print man said he liked it the best of the island smoke shot and the light house... which still needs work... overexposed?
anyway the profile image is the same island in august on a cold summer morn... and i have come to
love the pink and the blue... colors i now look for! :)
and the link to the light house... and i now have learned that it is the most shot in the usa... is
... http://www.pbase.com/donverger/image/60058498 in this first try i dont own a tripod but now may get one.. i had to shoot at asa 400 with the sony r1 showed up in the 16x20 print but i liked it and serendipouly there is a women and dog i never saw in the image... it is foggy agoin this am and i may go back and try with asa 200 braced some how... and the waves may have built up... anyway i like the feel of the lighthouse connected to the water and waves it protects from and the fortutitous wheeling gulls... any way a work in progress , which is a new concept for me who usually just cliks and drives away
thanks so much... nice to be talking!
