The world awoke to the news that Pope Francis had died. He had used his office to advocate for justice and peace.
Although I'm not religious and had gone to a local cemetery to take photos of the spectacular cherry trees, I felt this was an appropriate image to mark the passing of the first Latin American Pope.
It will be interesting to see who is appointed as his successor at a time when the world needs a peacemaker.
