For Ukraine

I interviewed a local man living in Ukraine earlier in the week.
He had business links with the country for many years, moved out before lockdown and got married during the pandemic.
He told me he wouldn't leave the country without his wife, her daughter and granddaughter and her 80 year old mother.
They couldn't come to Ireland without a visa, which he explained took a long time to get, and he wouldn't leave without them.
I haven't been able to stop thinking about them all day.

So many lives turned upside down by a brutal dictator. So depressing.

I well understand. Such a really sad story. My heart breaks for the people of Ukraine. I was up late last night when the news first broke about the insane, totally unprovoked Russian invasion. Everything feels so very unreal. Your image above well fits your words and sentiments. Less than 24 hours after the brutal Russian assault first started, innocent Ukrainians are already losing their lives. Others are losing their homes. Sadly, this is just the beginning & worse is yet to come. War is insanity.

a well thought out image for the book's title....the situation in Ukraine is alarming, and must be a nightmare for people still in the country..
