Little fingers

Went visiting a friend who has had a new baby.
It was lovely to see both Mum and baby girl.
I had great fun taking photos of the two of them.
I got loads of lovely pics which I wish I could share but I forgot to ask
if I could, so here's one of her tiny fingers.

Talk about cycles of life; they look all wrinkly and creased. Of course they'll smooth out as she grows into them... and then get wrinkly and creased again. I recall a portrait that won first prize in one of the recent Easter Show photo exhibitions; a veteran, just his aged hands clasped across a walking stick and the ribbons and medals on his coat. Nothing above or below that. This one reminds me of it, just at the other end of the age scale.
