Looks like it's had a pretty extensive and talented restoration job done. The front end looks much more like a face than modern cars do, which makes the "peeking around the bushes" effect much more like a face to face encounter. The tall vegetation on either side provides a good natural framing, not that you probably had much of a choice with the position. It was that, or stand in the middle of the road and hope he swerves. (Not that I think one of those would do you a lot of damage if it hit; E = 0.5mv^2 and all that, and this one doesn't look like it has a lot of m OR v.) On balance I think I'll pass on the nostalgia and stick with cruise control, air cond, and a well balanced EFI-based engine.
