#28

My fascination with photography began many years ago when, as a small child, I'd walk around the house, looking through the viewfinder of my mother's Voigtlander Brilliant camera.
I loved looking at a world made fresh and new by virtue of seeing it reversed from reality.
My first camera was a humble Kodak Instamatic and I later had an Olympus Trip and OM10 before venturing into digital photography with small Olympus Point and Shoot cameras, eventually getting Nikon DSLRs.
It's a hobby which still fascinates me, in no small part due to the inspiration and friendships found here on Pbase.

PS no post processing here apart from cropping and sharpening - this was taken looking down at the Voigtlander's viewfinder.

Love how you used what you had to achieve this great memory...everything I'm shooting I will associate with this month in more ways that one....pbase has been a great meeting place of those who may have remained strangers otherwise.

An interesting old time looking result with this technique. I always like hearing the stories of photographers and how they got started and what they used. "V"

I was wondering what you'd done here; that's an interesting piece of innovation. You chose the subject's subject well too; I think the only way you could get away with a shot like this is courtesy of something well lit on the other side of the viewfinder.
