Seatown Windmill

The windmill at Seatown in Dundalk was once one of the biggest in the country.
Efforts to restore it have been hampered due to a lack of access to the site.

Very well composed image of this impressive old windmill, hope they do get to restore it one day. v

Nicely composed with the greenery softening the stark lines of the mill. I can see why access might be a bit difficult! V.

It looks quite ancient. I image it's a steep climb. Love your point of view, looking up at this wonderful piece of history. V.

It would be a crime to let it decay further

what a looming presence, and all the more evocative under that grim sky..

Lovely lead-up to the heavens! :)

It does look rather threatening against the dark sky. The foreground flowers make it look the size of a skyscraper!

That is one hell of a size - it must have been very impressive in its working life with sails on.

Looks a bit ominous - reminds me of a scary book I once read... :)
