Missed You

I finally decided that I had to take a day off and stay in bed if I'm to
get better. My mid-morning slumber was disturbed by a knock on
the door and Fudge barking. I knew it wasn't the postman so I stayed
where I was. When I eventually got up, I found some election literature
in the hallway. While the candidate might have been sorry that he had
missed me, I was certainly glad that I had missed him.

Heehehehe, I do exactly the same :o)) If I want to waste my time, I'll find some other way of doing it rather than spend half an hour arguing with a hopeful politician!

What right do these people think they have to come knocking on doors uninvited and then if you dont answer push a load of rubbish through that you then have to get rid of. Keep them all and post them through their front doors. Rant over, hope you feel better soon.

Darn! - Could have sneezed near them :-)

Delivering that literature is such a thankless task. I can't imagine they're well received very often. He was probably relieved no one came to the door!

You can even turn electioneering bumph into an interesting picture. Well done. Oh don't forget the warm brandy - works wonders .... and even if it doesn't, who cares any more (hic). V

Ugh. Perhaps you should have answered and gave him your flu! I hope you get feeling better soon. Smart of you to stay home and rest.

As much as I hated to do it, we put a "No Soliciting" sign next to our front door as they always seemed to ring when I was taking a nap. Hope you feel better soon.

Glad you were sensible and minded your cold.

Just what you don't want when you're tucked up in bed! Well avoided :o)

What, you're sorry that you missed the opportunity to cough and sneeze all over a politician? (Oh dear, my cynicism is showing.) At least he provided you with a subject, which may have been hard to come by otherwise with your bedridden state.
