Cooley snow fields

A slight thaw is beginning to set in but it will be a slow process as temperatures are
still freezing at night time. We drove to Carlingford this afternoon but found that
the streets and footpaths hadn't been gritted which made walking dangerous -
especially with an excited Fudge in tow.

A dog pulling you across the ice, just what you need, like ya snowscape

at least the light was glorious...same slipperiness here as the streets are like an ice rink...one can adapt to that but it's difficult to drive the car with skates on..V

Love the light and shadows throughout! Be careful!

An outstanding scene. I like the contrast between the cold, bluish snow and the warm light on the tree.

A very beautiful bright winter scene Mairead...BV

And Fudge has the advantage of all paw drive, too. Not much in the way of traction control with his relatively small pads, though. Love the arrangement here, with the shape of the branch cover seeming to echo the hills beyond. Not to mention the colour of the light...

Beautiful scene and composition Mairead. V

The melting during the day with the freezing at night certainly makes for slippery walkways.
Fudges four legs have a built in safety factor that we don't have so be careful.
Beautiful shot! V

I love this composition and mixture of colors.

So that's where all the sunshine went to today.
These conditions are a lot safer for Fudge as you are finding, he has double the amount of legs and has 4 paws firmly on the ground, even tho rarely all at the same time.
Nice shot tho.

A lovely winter scene. Nice contrast between the warm golden tones of the tree and the cool tones in the snow and sky. ~V~
