Winter is beginning to wear us down. Gone is the novelty of crisp white snow and unexpected
holidays for school children.
This morning it was minus six when I set off for work in freezing fog with a thick hoar
frost decorating the bare branches and cobwebs.
Back to school for my son who delighted in a mass snowball fight at lunchtime.
There was further snow this evening so at the moment the cold spell continues.
