Washed up

I'm very conscious of the fact that in a few weeks it will be dark when I get home from work
so I took Fudge to the beach at Gyles Quay as soon as dinner was over, leaving the dishes
to be washed when I got home.
It was a dull windy evening and we had the beach to ourselves. Fudge enjoyed running on
the sand as the tide was out.
This ex-inflatable caught my eye, washed up and caught on the
railing along with some seaweed following recent high tides.

Wonderful moody shot. The day-glo floatie brightens things up, but grudgingly.

The vignette works well with the dull and windy theme.

Now that it gets darker earlier you'll have to work on your night shots :-)

The sort of thing large sea mammals swallow and die...I'm pleased to sea ocean junk touch the beach!!
A good find, Mairead.

Not sure whether this was flotsam or jetsam or a mixture of both, but it makes for a very effective shot.

Ah, the gribbly bits of the seaside - wonderful! :o) That looks a bit like blood on the concrete though...! gulp!
