This is 'our' robin. At least I think it's 'our' robin as there have been a
few skirmishes around the bird feeder when an interloper has been
chased off.
'Our' robin is a cheeky little fella, not at all afraid of humans or dogs
so I knew it would be just a matter of time before I got a decent
shot of him. Frustratingly he was usually hopping around the
garden as if asking to have his picture taken when I didn't
have a camera with me. But today, after taking a few shots
though the kitchen window of the sparrows and tits at
the feeder I decided to go outside and chance my luck with
the robin. He let me walk up to within a few feet of him and
didn't mind me clicking away. As a reward, I put out some
left over potato bread for him and there's raw pastry from
today's pie for his treat tomorrow.

I am jumping in to your "blog" a little late.. sorry... This is a super idea and so well presented.. You are super-talented. One thing about living in China is I miss the little European Robin, we do have some of our own, but they tend to skulk about in bamboo forest at 10,000 feet...

This photo made my day!! I can't tell you how much I love photos of robins, (what we call the English robin over here). They remind me of younger days growing up in the UK. This is a superb capture!!! Couldn't be better. VVV
