Met up with another snapper today. We had coffee in the Country Market which takes place every Saturday morning
and then headed to the nearby forest park. Unfortunately the trees there hadn't yet turned so there wasn't as much
autumn colour as we had hoped for. But it was fun to go out with someone else who doesn't complain when you stop to take a picture of an interesting leaf or stone. Although she lives not far from here we only met for the first time when we went on a photography workshop during the summer. One of the things I enjoy about photography is that I have met many interesting people as it sometimes gives you the excuse to strike up a conversation.
Pbase still down, so after tracking down some Pbasers on Facebook I opened a trial account on Smugmug and joined the Pbase Refugees. On first appearances, Smugmug looks very attractive but I soon find it's missing many of the features I like on Pbase and there doesn't seem to be the same sense of community there.
