Went to the duck pond with my husband and son this afternoon. Thought I might get some nice wildlife shots as Stephenstown Pond is home to moorhens, swans, mallards and other ducks. But other people had the same idea, the ducks were stuffed (pardon the pun) and, ignoring the bread being thrown in the water for them, were hiding in the reeds and overhanging willows. Only the seagulls showed any interest in the offerings from the Sunday visitors.
We had coffee in the old cottage which was once the home of Agnes Galt, sister of the famous Scottish poet Robbie Burns.
