I call this wood pigeon The Bishop, as for some reason he reminds me of certain bishops who dress in this clerical grey colour. The white band around his neck is reminiscent of the Roman collar.
Our Bishop thinks the garden is his personal private see. He gets particularly territorial every Spring.
Now, however, he has to cope with Berna the puppy who seems to have a streak of anti-clericalism
and who delights in barking her head off to get The Bishop to move on.
