The idea behind this photo is really excellent, Máire, I like the crop and the repetitiveness.
It’s an emblematical photo which I like reading like a metaphor of the lack of individualism even in leisure, which affects too much of our life.
These little balconies, like cloned nests on the side of the metallic whale are a bit distressing, while they are supposed to be a symbol of carefree holiday.
People have all more or less the same pose and probably they spend their holidays all in a similar way, engaged in the same activities planned by the cruise entertainers.
As it appears evident I don’t like cruises on this disproportioned modern floating monsters.
I have tried and not only once, I never criticize anything without trying, of course I speak only a quite personal title.
The photo is very thought provoking.

I like the geometric arrangement. Not sure that it's actually YOU that they're watching though unless you're standing waaaay off to the side with a long range remote shutter release. 8^>
