a year of grids

this project was inspired by my first digital camera. i shot almost every day, sometimes with a theme, sometimes not, and created a grid with the resulting images. most of the year i was in new york city.

Well … what a fabulous idea. Are these montages made from your own pictures and were they taken to order or chosen from the archives? They all have an appeal, in fact there’s only two I didn’t like. Very well done indeed.

Thanks Georgia. Some days, based on what my eyes lit on first, I did decide to focus on a color or a theme. Each grid is absolutely from a single day - that was my resolve at the beginning.

Nice spin on an old idea. Your concept of the grid – lovin it. I use grid a lot in my graphic design. Maybe that's why it appeals to me so much.
