Screenshots (virtual camera)

These are screen captures from some flight simulators (combative) I fly, some online. The graphics and the flight characteristics have gotten quite good in some of them...having to adjust prop pitch, mixture, trim, radiator, etc...and it's like a whole little world in there. An online veteran in a specific sim always has great advantage, and each plane model has weakness and strength. Although the graphics have been created by the sims programmers, the Prt Scr key in combination with the mouse, is a fun camera, not needing film or even a memory card. Some simulators can actually make movies of your dogfights or missions, veiw them at all angles etc. and save the screenshots. When I was a kid, I would check books and books out of the library on planes of the past. Sometimes to just see the photos of them. I think it's incredible that we can now fly them in simulation and the flight characteristics of them are as accurate as can be attained...sometimes created with the help of pilots who actually flew them. It was quite a thing in a sim that I fly, to fly online with an actual WWII P-47 pilot who is now over 80 years of age (and was still one of the best at the game), and to fly with others who have actually flown some of these. These werent' too hard to shoot since a movie or a rerun can be made and virtual camera position adjusted later. I fly another sim where you have to do your shots in "real time" and that's a bit more difficult, to fly in combat with other aircraft and take pics while trying not to get shot down or crash...I've got to try some of those again, it's been a while. If you fly online...you'll probably find me an easy target in 'Forgotten Battles' a bit more difficult in my Spitfire in 'WWII fighters' Callsign:(~*Lights*~).. Thanks for looking. Barri
