Glad vs Zero.jpg

It had to be one of us
a good online opponent would have been much more difficult than the Sim's artificial intelligence, which still is not easy.
I read once that the Zero (A6m) didn't have self sealing fuel tanks...and were very prone to fire...
A very capable combat aircraft though, with an extremely long range and very maneuverable.

Pacific Fighters

other sizes: small medium large auto

Thing turns on a dime, out turns a zero. The British (Irish) ace Finucane, if I remember correctly, started out flying the Gladiator and always had great respect for it. Also the Zero's wings were very vulnerable (as seen here) the gas tanks were not self sealing...and sometimes luck has something to do with it :-)

That hardly looks like a fair matchup, but then... the old biplane came out the better of the two. Must have been your expert piloting...
