The nice thing about my Olympus C8080wz is that it lets me shoot in B&W RAW...seeing the image in B&W in the viewfinder, Saving the image in a RAW file in color and a high quality jpg in B&W. So if I feel like doing it like I did in film and actually using the black and white image, without manipulating the color one to create the black and white I can...and not do it the wimpy way :-) Of course a person can manipulate the black and white too, as I have here with the curves command in Photoshop...but somehow it makes you look specifically for contrasts and compositions that will come off in B&W better when shooting them 'in camera' Well sometimes it just feels like the "right thing to do" So have been doing it more lately.
