hello, i just bought the 70-200 2.8 IS lens, and i'm wondering if you think the auto focus is as fast as your 300mm F4 IS lens. I also have a 1d Mark II and the 300mm F4 IS lens, and i love it. It seems to autofocus faster than anything i've used, but i haven't been able to really give the 70-200 a good test yet. I know the non IS verion of the 70-200 seemed slow to focus for me, compared to the 300mm F4 IS. Please write me back and let me know if you've seen any difference in focus speed with the 70-200 vs the 300. I'm a college shooter also, and would like to save some money and sell the 70-200 and get the fixed 200mm f2.8 because i've used that and know the auto focus is very fast on that one.

thanks,
